【摘要】:ThisindextestmethodindicatesanunvegetatedRECPx2019;sabilitytoreducesoilerosioncausedbyshearstressinducedbymovingwaterunderbench-scaleconditions.Onlytangentialshearismeasuredinthismethod.Radialandupliftforcesgeneratedbythecircularmotionofthewaterarenotmeasured.Thistestmethodisbench-scaleandtherefore,appropriateasanindextestforgeneralsoil/productcompositebehaviorunderhydraulicshearconditions,andforproductqualityassurance/conformancetesting.Theresultsofthistestshallnotbeinterpretedasindicativeoffieldperformance.1.1Thisindextestmethodestablishestheguidelines,requirementsandproceduresforevaluatingtheabilityofunvegetatedRolledErosionControlProducts(RECPs)toprotectsoil(sand)fromhydraulicallyinducedshearstressinabench-scaleapparatus.1.2Thisindextestmethodutilizesbench-scaletestingproceduresandshallnotbeinterpretedasindicativeoffieldperformance.1.3Thisindextestisnotintendedtoreplacefull-scalesimulationorfieldtestinginacquisitionofperformancevaluesthatarerequiredinthedesignoferosioncontrolmeasuresutilizingunvegetatedRECPs.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundvaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
